Entrepreneur ventures into audiology

An entrepreneur has started a new venture in the field of audiology.
Jamie Murray Wells' business aims to reduce the cost of hearing aids to those who require them, the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard reports.
The 26-year-old hopes that HearingDirect.com will revolutionise the industry by providing members of the public with quick and easy online access to hearing checks and equipment.
For the project, he teamed up with three experts in the audiology industry.
Commenting on the idea, he said: "More than eight million people in the UK have some degree of hearing loss. I want to turn the industry on its head and offer people much better value for their money."
The businessman added that he is finding the initiative "exciting" and it is still in its early stages.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that audiology departments in Hertfordshire are to benefit from the installation of new kits designed to help the hard of hearing.
