Operating department practitioners get access to new facilities

A number of people with jobs as operating department practitioners have started work in new facilities in Sawbridgeworth.
An extension has been added to the Rivers Hospital, which is a private hospital in Hertfordshire that opened in 1992 and has 59 bedrooms for patients, the Harlow Herald 24 reports.
The development was officially opened by MP Mark Prisk, who unveiled a commemorative plaque.
Commenting on the medical centre, he said it had an excellent reputation.
As well as a new operating theatre, the hospital has an extended recovery area, high-dependency unit and pre-admissions facilities as a result of the upgrade.
Richard Parsons, regional director at parent company Ramsay Health Care, said: "This project has been a huge success and we are grateful to our staff and consultants who helped design the new layout."
He went on to thank the building firm that conducted the work for managing to do so with minimum levels of disruption.
