Radiographers get new machine thanks to fundraising

A number of people with radiography jobs are using a new machine thanks to a fundraising initiative.
Local people in Newquay succeeded in generating a total of £61,000 towards the technology, the Cornishman reports.
The money was put towards the total cost of the device, which was £200,000, with the rest of the finance secured by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Primary Care Trust.
This week, the X-ray machine was unveiled at Newquay Hospital - which provides a range of services and currently has 21 inpatient beds.
Kevin Baber, managing director of community hospital services for the trust, expressed his gratitude to people in the area for their efforts.
He added: "Everyone in Newquay has proved that we can unite and pull together for something which will be good for the whole town."
It is hoped that the device will reduce waiting times and enable more people to access it.
