Money raised for cardiac care at Kettering General Hospital

A considerable amonunt of money has been raised to improve services for heart patients at Kettering General Hospital, it has been revealed.
According to a report in the Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph, a total of £102,000 was generated by people in the country.
The money, which may have an impact on people with cardiac physiology jobs in the medical centre, will go towards a rehabilitation room, information portals and more monitoring equipment.
Maxine White, cardiac services manager at the hospital - which takes care of a population of around 300,000 - said: "The cardiac services we deliver are moving into a new league.
"We now offer a number of new services that aim to prevent and treat people with cardiac problems."
She went on to state that the money means people will be treated closer to home rather than having to travel to Leicester for particular procedures, adding that the hospital is "very proud" that the cash will make such an impact.
