Man praises new radiography technique

A cancer patient has praised new state-of-the-art radiography treatment he received.
Brian Voce had a tumour on his spine and conventional medicine was not working, the Derby Evening Telegraph reports.
The 51-year-old travelled to Germany to undergo a procedure involving a so-called 'Cyberknife', which is capable of delivering doses of radiotherapy with a high degree of accuracy.
His wife, Lynette, remarked: "We were aware that Cyberknife had just become available in London Harley Street but we had already seen the consultant there and he was reluctant to treat Brian."
At this point, the couple decided to make the trip to the continent to have the treatment at the Munich Cyberknife Centre.
According to information posted on the organisation's website, its equipment makes it possible to radio-surgically treat tumours outside of the brain.
Commenting on his experience, Mr Voce said he has had no pain since and the tumour has not grown.
