Radiographers in community hospital to get new equipment

Radiographers working in a medical centre are set to benefit from the installation of new technology.
The X-ray department in Peterlee Community Hospital is to receive an upgrade which will enable staff to take digital images that can then be viewed by experts at the University Hospital of Hartlepool and the University Hospital of North Tees, the Peterlee Mail reports.
According to Debbie Edwards, NHS County Durham's assistant director of strategic projects and developments, the changes will be good for local people.
She added: "We're very excited about the upgrade, which will provide state-of-the-art X-ray equipment in Peterlee Community Hospital."
Meanwhile, Kevin Oxley from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust - which provides services to around 365,000 people - stated that the organisation is committed to improving facilities and it is pleased the project is going ahead.
He went on to suggest that patients will be able to see the developments themselves in a few weeks' time.
