UCS sees rise in people applying to study radiography

A university based in East Anglia has seen a rise in demand for its radiography course, it has been revealed.
University Campus Suffolk (UCS) said more people have applied to many of its study programmes, the Ipswich Evening Star reports.
In total, last year saw UCAS admissions go up by 46 per cent, which was double the national average of 23 per cent.
Lucy Whitmore, head of admissions at UCS - which was formed in 2002 when the University of East Anglia and the University of Essex joined with Suffolk College - said there has been particular interest in vocational subjects such as radiography and nursing.
Meanwhile, acting chief executive of the institution Richard Lister said: "It is proof we are doing quite a number of things right, providing an attractive offer in a great environment."
He added that the university is "very pleased" with the popularity of its courses among prospective students.
