Pharmacists in York Hospital to get helping hand

Pharmacists in York Hospital are set to receive assistance from a novel new member of staff.
They will be joined by a robotic device designed to make the process of prescription transactions faster, the York Press reports.
The machine is located in a revamped pharmacy due to open its doors next week.
Commenting on the development, Martin Phillips, chief pharmacist at York Hospital - which is organised into 'directorates' covering areas such as the emergency department, wards, theatres and clinics - said it is a "great innovation".
She added: "We have designed the service to give tremendous added value to patients, staff and visitors and are delighted that all this is being achieved at no extra cost."
As well as the robot, the new pharmacy will also feature a range of consulting rooms.
It is hoped that staff at the centre will be able to focus more on providing advice and information to people, managing clinical trials and preparing special injections.
