ODPs may get new facilities in Scarborough

People working as operating department practitioners (ODPs) at Scarborough Hospital may soon benefit from new facilities.
According to reports in Scarborough Today, plans have been unveiled to revamp the medical centre.
The publication stated that the proposals are intended to transform the hospital into one that "local people can be proud of".
Over the course of the next 12 months, there will be investments made in a number of departments and £400,000 is to be spent on replacing medical equipment.
The medical centre has already put money into a new operating theatre.
In coming years, Scarborough Hospital is set to become increasingly focused on treating emergency patients.
The facility is run by Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Healthcare NHS Trust - an organisation which provides acute services for a population of around 240,000 in the local area and employs in excess of 2,400 people, many of whom have been in its services for over five years.
