Celebrity doc performs free audiology tests

A TV medic has been offering free hearing tests to the residents of Croydon in the past week.
The car park of Ikea in Purley Way was transformed into a GP office temporarily as Dr Chris Steele, who appears on ITV chat show This Morning offering health tips every week, provided free audiology exams to passersby.
Deaf charity Hearing Concern are backing the initiative along with Boots chemists after revealing figures which show that up to 50,000 people in Croydon could be affected by hearing loss, according to YourLocalGuardian.
Kevin Badcock, audiologist for Boots Croydon, told the newspaper: "There are literally thousands of people in Croydon who struggle with their hearing on a daily basis, but have taken no action."
The five-minute tests aim to provide a quick, painless health check to address this problem.
