Pharmacist receives recognition for his efforts

A pharmacist with a keen interest in marathons has received an award.
David Smith was recognised for his achievements while leading a balanced lifestyle by Pharmaton Capsules, Chemist and Druggist reports.
He earned the title of Pharmacies' Biggest Lifesqueezer after being nominated by a colleague, Jill Simpson.
And Ms Simpson was quoted as saying: "Not only does he work six days a week but he also finds time to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest aggregate time for marathons on seven continents."
Mr Smith, who is a pharmacist at Peak Pharmacy in Dronfield, has raised £23,000 - mostly through donations from customers - for the MS Society and Ashgate Hospice by running the marathons, in response to the support given by the charities to members of his family.
The former organisation runs respite care centres and provides education and training, as well as funding research into multiple sclerosis.
