Radiographer 'calls it a day after 50 years serving NHS'

A radiographer at the Russells Hall Hospital in Stourbridge is to retire after serving the healthcare industry for 50 years.
Angela Hodgson joined the NHS at 16 as a nurse and has provided her services to hospitals in Darlington, Wolverhampton and Dudley, before moving to her last establishment.
The Stourbridge News reports that Ms Hodgson has worked part-time as an advanced practitioner in ultrasound in the maternity unit of Russells Hall for the past four-and-a-half years and will celebrate the retirement with a trip to Australia with her husband.
"I'll really miss my colleagues and all of the patients. I've just really enjoyed meeting lots of different people and being able to help them," the former medical worker told the newspaper.
She also noted the advancement of technology as particularly notable during her 50 years in the sector.
Russells Hall is part of the Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Trust, which also includes the Guest and Corbett Outpatient Centres in Dudley and Stourbridge respectively.
