New medical centre 'may lead to creation of pharmacy jobs'

Those looking for pharmacy jobs in the Suffolk area could have their chances boosted thanks to a modern medical centre which is set to be built this spring.
Based in Reydon, south Waverney, the health facility will serve thousands of people and is expected to be given the green light for completion by the NHS in March, after having been in planning for several years.
The Beccles & Bungay Journal reported that the £9 million construction will eventually include a GPs office, a dental surgery and community pharmacy, as well as providing a range of other services.
Andy Peck, head of estates and risk for NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney, told the newspaper: "This is an exciting project for everyone living in the south Waveney area and for us at the primary care trust. The centre, if approved, will serve 22,000 people and will support the development of integrated health services."
NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney currently serves a community which is one of the most deprived areas of the east of England, with shorter life expectancies, higher disability rates and higher instances of long-term illnesses than other Norfolk and Suffolk regions.
