Audiologists to provide free hearing tests

A number of people with audiology jobs are to take part in an initiative that will see people in Croydon receive free hearing tests.
Local people are being encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity, which will form part of the Croydon Roadshow today (January 12th), the Croydon Guardian reports.
The scheme comes as the Put Your Hearing To The Test campaign gets underway in the Ikea Car Park on Purley Way.
It is a part of a nationwide project to make people more aware of hearing difficulties.
Kevin Badcock, audiologist for Boots Croydon, remarked: "There are literally thousands of people in Croydon who struggle with their hearing on a daily basis, but have taken no action."
He went on to urge anyone who may have concerns about their hearing to have a free test, particularly those aged 50 and over.
The scheme is being backed by Boots and Hearing Concern, a charity which is headquartered in Eastbourne.
