ODPs to begin work in new centre

A number of people with operating department practitioner (ODP) jobs are to begin roles in a new medical centre once work on the building has been completed.
According to a report in the London Evening Standard, construction on the Platinum Medical Centre at Wellington Hospital has begun.
The facility, once finished, will house four new operating theatres and will cover 48,000 sq ft.
It will focus on liver, head and neck and gynaecological cancers, and will have an oncology and breast care service.
Commenting on the project, Wellington chief executive Keith Hague said: "This will be the largest unit of its kind in the country attached to the largest private hospital in the country, where we treat all the most complex of illnesses."
At present, Wellington Hospital has three sites, comprising the North Tower, South Tower and Central Building. It already offers brain and heart surgery and treats spinal injuries.
