People seeking OPD jobs 'may be buoyed by a new report'

A new report produced by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG may be welcomed by individuals seeking work as operation department practitioners (ODPs).
The latest Jobs Report from the organisations revealed that last month saw the fastest increase in both permanent and temporary staff employment.
Demand for workers went up at the strongest rate for 29 months in the case of permanent employees and 22 months for people with temporary roles.
It was also found that the availability of candidates to fill job vacancies in Britain rose last month.
Meanwhile, average salaries for those in permanent jobs rose in December for the second month in a row.
"As we head into 2010, the recovery of the UK jobs market is accelerating," remarked Kevin Green, chief executive of the REC - which claims to have 8,000 corporate and 6,000 individual members.
Employer confidence in Britain is on the rise, the expert added.
