Workflow system 'helps audiologists focus on care'

Audiologists benefit from streamlined workflow systems as they enable them to spend more time on patient care, one expert has suggested.
In a Siemens Hearing Instruments statement, Dawn Bramham of Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said that her organisation's single approach in this area enables its service to "run seamlessly".
And the head of audiology and ENT service manager indicated that one of the main advantages is that it allows staff to focus more on "quality matters such as talking through fittings and answering concerns".
"This results in more relaxed patients that understand more about their hearing health," she added.
Siemens - which claims to be committed to providing support for all professionals in the hearing care sector - offers its own integrated workflow systems, designed to assist audiology departments as they come under increasing amounts of pressure.
Darren Ransley, the company's marketing manager, said their effectiveness has been proven over the years in both the retail and NHS environments.
