Phlebotomists working at new healthcare centre

Phlebotomists are among the people with UK medical jobs working at a new healthcare centre in England.
Based at Ormskirk & District General Hospital, the facility officially opened its doors this week, offering patients drop-in GP services and advice and treatment for minor injuries, the Ormskirk & Skelmersdale Advertiser reports.
As well as blood testing provisions, the centre has radiography capabilities and it is open 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
The unit is being run by the West Lancashire Partnership, including Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust.
Meanwhile, commenting on the development, Peter Tinson, assistant director of commissioning at NHS Central Lancashire, said: "It is great to see the health centre finally up and running after over 12 months of work. It looks great, really modern, fresh and welcoming."
The health trust provides services to people living in a number of places, including Chorley, Leyland, Ormskirk, Preston and Skelmersdale.
