Students urged to consider radiography careers, among other roles

Radiography is one of the careers options being touted as part of an initiative to encourage students to pursue jobs in the medical field.
According to reports in the Bradford Telegraph Argus, a scheme is being launched in the city to show school pupils the range of health sector positions available.
As well as radiography, podiatry, occupational therapy and dietetics are being promoted.
Funded by Aimhigher Bradford - which was set up in 2001 and is part of the government’s Excellence in Cities drive - the initiative is called Tomorrow's Health Professionals Today and a range of events are taking place, including university tours.
Director of Aimhigher Bradford Richard Wilkinson said the project will encourage young people to consider what kind of careers they could have and what they need to do in order to achieve this.
He added: "The NHS is the biggest employer in Europe and there are many new opportunities."
