Occupational therapy to be provided by new Lincolnshire service

A new service for stroke victims is to require people in occupational therapy jobs.
The Louth Leader reports the launch of the Assisted Discharge Service, which will help people to recover from strokes in their own homes.
Experts from a range of occupational therapy jobs are needed for the scheme, which will also cover speech therapy and physiotherapy.
The new programme is intended to reduce the average hospital stay for a stroke patient from 20 days to seven.
A spokesperson for NHS Lincolnshire, which is funding the initiative, said that the health body prioritises stroke services.
Meanwhile, patients and people with occupational therapy jobs are set to benefit from Whitby Hospital's £1 million facelift.
Health bosses told the Whitby Gazette that the refurbishment would improve the maintenance of safety standards and create a more pleasant atmosphere as the roof and windows are being replaced.
Services will carry on as usual while the window and roof work is done.
