Pharmacy jobs for graduates pay more than nearly every other type of profession, new research has revealed.
According to a new survey by the Higher Education Careers Services Unit, the average salary of a health expert who left university last year and has a full-time position with a first degree is £25,362 a year.
This came second to only protective service officers, which includes individuals that work in the armed forces, who typically earn £25,716 in a 12-month period.
Graduate pharmacy jobs were shown to pay nearly £6,000 more a year than the average wage, which stood at £19,677.
Other high remuneration employment opportunities included functional managers and engineering specialists who received £23,976 and £23,651 respectively on an annual basis.
The Falmouth Penryn Packet recently reported that an expansion to an existing medical centre in Helston, Cornwall has received the support of the local community.
If successful it could see a number of pharmacy jobs brought to the area.
