New pharmacy jobs 'may become available in Helston'

New pharmacy jobs may become available in a Cornish town, it has emerged.
According to reports in the Falmouth Penryn Packet, plans to bring a pharmacy with longer opening hours to Helston have received support from the local authority.
Helston Medical Centre, which already employs a range of medical professionals - including doctors, nurses and dispensary staff - submitted plans to add a two-and-a-half-storey extension to its existing building.
The proposals were discussed during a recent meeting involving the town council's planning committee.
Centre manager Bob Boyce, who was present at the event, said that the surgery intends to work with a local pharmacy to create a new unit so that prescriptions can be bought by patients on the site.
The facility would also be open to other members of the public, he added.
Helston Medical Centre's plans will now be assessed by the council and further announcements made at a later date.
