Special school to create speech therapy jobs

Speech therapy jobs are to be created near Cambridge next year, as a special school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will be opened.
Gretton School is set to cater for up to 40 young people between the ages of five and 19 when it gets up and running in January.
Medical facilities will play an important role, with both speech and occupational therapy services available.
Headteacher Lyndsey Stone explained that families will be provided with support and short breaks, with a strong interest in the personalised education that will be on offer already apparent.
"It will significantly improve the lives of children and young people living with ASD in and around Cambridge and - in the near future - provide residential education for children and families further afield," she said of the school.
Speech therapists are among those currently benefiting from the newest version of Lorenzo Care Management software, which was recently introduced at NHS Bury.
