Clacton may see new podiatry service

Podiatry job workers may see new employment opportunities if plans to build a healthcare centre in Clacton go ahead.
The search has now commenced for a new site in the town's centre that could offer a range of healthcare services including podiatry, phelobotomy, sexual health advice, obesity management programmes and child health checks, the Daily Gazette reported.
Senior public health specialist at NHS North East Essex Alison Amstutz remarked that, while there is no set date for the opening of the establishment, work continues behind the scenes.
She added: "We are currently working on a number of issues, including the search for a suitable site, which have to be addressed before the project can become a reality."
Apart from dealing with health issues, the institution could also contain a community kitchen to inspire people to learn how to cook, the newspaper stated, as well as being used as exhibition space for artists and photographers.
Clacton-on-Sea in Essex will be hosting an air show this year, organised by Tendring District Council and is expected to attract 90,000 visitors.
