Hospital receives praise for hygiene

A hospital in Scunthorpe has been commended on its levels of hygiene.
Scunthorpe General Hospital was recently assessed by patient's group Who Cares with regard to the facility's cleanliness.
The organisation conducted the investigation as a result of several concerns raised about wards in the infirmary, according to Scunthorpe Telegraph.
However, the results of the 'enter and view' survey, in which first-hand evidence was gathered, found that the hospital was "exceptionally clean".
Karen Rossdale, deputy director of patient services at the facility, said: "I am absolutely delighted with the report which has been published by Who Cares.
"We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication all of our staff."
The study concluded problems that had been reported with regard to wards 24, 25 and 28, as well as the medical assessment unit, were issues from two or three years ago that had been remedied thanks to a change to in-house cleaning.
North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust operates facilities in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole.
