Medical centre installs new radiography system

People with radiography jobs at a medical centre in Aldershot are using new equipment.
The Aldershot Centre for Health recently installed computed radiography systems, Bjhcim reports.
As a result of the addition to the facility, local patients no longer have to travel to Frimley Park Hospital or Cambridge Military Hospital in order to have certain tests done.
Images captured at the Aldershot Centre for Health are sent to the Agfa HealthCare IMPAX PACS at Frimley Park, meaning they are available for immediate expert review if necessary.
The technology has been added as part of the centre's goal of providing front-line diagnostic services to people living in the Aldershot area.
Philip Ramsey, radiology services manager at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Extending our existing relationship with Agfa HealthCare was the logical choice for us when it came to equipping the Aldershot Centre for Health."
The trust serves patients from a number of places, including Aldershot, Ash, Ash Vale, Bagshot, Blackwater Camberley, and Crowthorne.
