"Legendary" pharmacy celebrates milestone birthday

A pharmacy described as "legendary" by InStyle magazine is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Customers passing through the doors of the Garden Pharmacy in October will be treated to a number of discounts and promotions on the top brands it stocks, according to the publication.
The pharmacy, located in Covent Garden, first opened its doors in 1984 and has since been a favourite haunt of celebrities including Kate Moss, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Madonna.
According to its website, the pharmacy – which also has an online delivery business – is the longest-established store on the main road of Covent Garden, Long Acre.
Earlier this month, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency announced new regulations for pharmacists and nurses which will give them the same prescription power as doctors for off-label medication.
It is thought that the new rules may improve palliative care.
