Podiatrist claims she will boost community regeneration

A podiatrist has said that her contribution will provide a boost to the regeneration of her local community.
Healthcare professional Barbara Chambers recently established a new business entitled Bowburn Chiropody, the Durham Times reports.
Ms Chambers, who has been operating as a domiciliary podiatrist for 12 years, stated that many patients prefer visiting clinics over having home visits.
According to the expert, there can be limitations concerning treatment in home visits.
She added: "I hope [the business] brings value to the regeneration of Bowburn as well.
"I want it to be a village podiatry, somewhere people can drop in for advice - a service to the community."
Patients living in the area have had access to the new services offered by Ms Chambers since she opened the clinic earlier this month.
A former mining community, Bowburn is in County Durham and is located less than four miles from the centre of Durham, lying to the south of the city.
