Phlebotomists may be recruited for new medical centre

Plans for a new medical centre which would provide a range of services, including phlebotomy, are one step closer to being realised.
Under proposals put forward by Fakenham Medical Practice, a £3 million facility would be created which would enable it to cope with the growing local population.
Recently, the plans were approved by a board from NHS Norfolk.
Assistant director of estates at the organisation Graham Copsey said: "This business case will secure excellent health services for the local community and it's great news that it has been approved by the board."
As well as phlebotomy, the centre would house minor injury treatment provisions and chronic disease management clinics.
It would be located around one kilometre from Fakenham Medical Practice's current site.
Established in October 2006, NHS Norfolk provides a range of services to people living in most of the county, with the exception of the area around Great Yarmouth.
