Two pharmacists have been recognised for their work helping obese patients lose weight.
During a recent ceremony, Laurence Tressler and John Goes were handed the Balmford Silver Jubilee Cup by the College of Pharmacy Practice.
The medical professionals developed the Coventry Community Weight Management Programme.
They helped 30 patients in the area to lose a total of 20 stones by offering them weigh-ins and offering advice.
Commenting on their accolade, Mr Goes, who runs Goes Pharmacy, said he was "delighted" to have been recognised, along with the patients who lost the weight.
He added: "What made [the scheme] work was that, besides being weighed each time they came to the pharmacy, we discussed patients' lifestyle and worked out a plan to make changes that would improve their health."
Meanwhile, Mr Tressler, deputy head of medicines management for NHS Coventry, described the award as an "honour".
Offering a range of medical services, NHS Coventry provides services to a population of around 300,000.
