Audiologist to compete for Women of the Year title

An audiologist has been shortlisted as a possible contender for a Women of the Year title.
According to reports in the Kidderminster Shuttle, Charmain Leek will find out on Saturday July 11th whether she has secured a top spot.
The healthcare professional, who is managing director of Clear Hear and has operated in the field of audiology for more than 22 years, will attend the awards ceremony in Worcester.
She moved into the private sector 12 years ago and set up her own hearing practice around five years ago.
The mother-of-two was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a condition which affects the central nervous system and is more common among women than men.
She said: "I am one of the lucky ones and, so far, the disease hasn't really affected my working and personal life."
Ms Leek added that the illness has taught her not to put things off and to make the most of the things she is able to do.
