Dietician begin work at new care centre

A dietician has begun working at a care centre in Exeter, it has been revealed.
The medical professional is helping patients suffering from eating disorders at a specialist day unit, local paper the Express & Echo reports.
Medical staff opened the facility, which is intended for sufferers of anorexia and bulimia, today (Monday 6th).
The Haldon Eating Disorders Service is providing help to people who do not need round-the-clock treatment.
As well as a dietician, a therapist and psychologist are on hand to provide services to patients.
Commenting on the offering, Vanessa Ford, service manager for Haldon Eating Disorders Service, said: "Clients attending the new day services provided at Haldon will be able to sleep at Redhills House.
"It will act as step-down accommodation. It will house six people - all women with eating disorders."
According to figures cited by the NHS, anorexia affects around one in 250 females and one in 2,000 males in the UK.
