New pharmacy services open to patients in Derby

Patients in Derby now have access to a new pharmacy thanks to the opening of a medical centre.
The new Lister House Surgery is set to serve around 15,000 local people and it is considerably larger than the facility it replaced, the Derby Evening Telegraph reports.
As well as a pharmacy, there will be nine GP surgeries and an open access centre, among other things.
The building is a replacement for one that was badly damaged by fire earlier this year.
Its services are expected to be so in demand that the facility has a dedicated call centre in which four staff members will take calls from patients.
The building is owned by a private healthcare firm named OneMedical, which has given the NHS doctors who are using it a 20-year lease.
A developer of custom-designed premises, One Medical specialises in buildings such as GP surgeries, health villages, community hospitals and primary care resource centres.
