Former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore has supported a cardiac awareness campaign.
The actor was among those encouraging the public to know their pulse rates so that they are at a lower risk of sudden cardiac failure.
In an online video, Moore promoted the Know Your Pulse week.
Commenting on the issue, Sir Roger Moore said: "It is so important to know your pulse as it can indicate a potential heart rhythm disorder.
"Early identification of cardiac arrhythmias can not only help prevent serious complications from developing, but may save your life."
The campaign was part of Arrhythmia Awareness Week, which was first run in 2004 and aims to make people in the UK more aware of potential heart rhythm disorders.
It took place between June 8th and June 14th and was promoted by health centres across the country.
Some heart irregularities can lead to health problems like cardiac arrests, strokes and loss consciousness.
