Audiology services to expand at Cossham Hospital

As part of a redevelopment, audiology services at Cossham Hospital are to be extended.
Plans for the project - which would see the repairing and preserving of the tower, gatehouse and frontage of the building, as well as extensions to the rear - have submitted to the city council for approval, the Bristol Evening Post reports.
In addition to the expansion of audiology services, speech therapy is also to benefit and physiotherapy appointments will double.
Commenting on the ideas, chief executive of NHS South Gloucestershire, Penny Harris, said: "This is another small milestone as we move towards refurbishing Cossham Hospital.
"We have spent years consulting and working with partners to agree what services the NHS will provide from Cossham."
She added that the proposals are in their final phase and the trust is working with architects to see how it can transform the building.
Operating with an annual budget of over £300 million, NHS South Gloucestershire serves a population of 246,000.
