New pharmacy jobs 'may be created in Great Yarmouth'

Work on a new health centre in Great Yarmouth is picking up pace, meaning that new pharmacy jobs may soon be created in the area.
According to a report in the Great Yarmouth Mercury, the foundations of the Cobholm and Lichfield health centre have been completed, meaning construction of the building itself can begin.
The facility, which is to cost a total of around £2 million, will feature consulting and treatment rooms in addition to the pharmacy.
Commenting on the project, Andy Peck, head of estate and risk management at NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney, said: "This new development represents a large investment in local health services and will both improve facilities and increase access and availability for patients in the Great Yarmouth area."
He added that the trust hopes to open the centre early next year.
Providing a range of healthcare services, NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney serves a population of around 230,000.
