Money sought to provide radiography equipment

Fundraisers are seeking money in order to provide imaging equipment for a UK medical centre.
So far, the Daisy Appeal has raised £7.5 million towards the goal of building and equipping a new state-of-the-art cancer and heart facility on the Castle Hill Hospital site in Cottingham, the Yorkshire Post reports.
It is now looking to raise an addition £3 million in order to purchase equipment to be used in a new scanning facility which is being developed on the site.
The charity says that the equipment will help doctors to more accurately identify and diagnose cancer, heart disease and brain disorders.
Professor Nick Stafford, ears, nose and throat consultant at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "I think everybody has people in their families who've been touched by cancer or heart disease and we have had seven-figure donations down to one or two figure donations."
The trust employs more than 7,000 staff members and deals with an annual budget of over £400 million.
