Medical workers relocate to purpose built centre

A number of medical workers, including podiatrists, have relocated to a new purpose built centre.
Employees at Laurencekirk Medical Centre have moved to a new location next to a GP surgery on Blackiemuir, the Laurencekirk Observer reports.
The facility has been designed to provide improved services to people living in the area.
It will bring together services such as podiatry, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics, community nursing and dentistry.
On Saturday May 16th, the Patient Participation Group is to hold an open day at the new premises for two hours so that patients and members of the public can get an introduction to the facilities.
Costing £2.85 million, the centre is owned by NHS Grampian - which was created in April 2004 following the dissolution of Grampian's two former NHT trusts.
It serves a population of around half-a-million spread over 3,000 square miles of rural, town and city areas.
