NHS trusts to showcase healthcare careers

NHS trusts are to host an event designed to showcase the jobs available to people in the healthcare sector.
NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney has teamed up with James Paget University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for the initiative, the Great Yarmouth Mercury reports.
The event will be held at Yarmouth College on Friday April 24th and it will be open to employment and career services and high schools.
Cheryl Jarvis, education and training lead at NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney, said: "When people think of the health service, their thoughts immediately turn to doctors and nurses.
"But there are a whole host of different careers available through the NHS, from childcare and pharmacy right through to jobs in finance."
The day will run between 11:30 GMT and 15:30 GMT.
Serving a population of around 230,000, NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney covers an area which is broadly aligned with Great Yarmouth borough council and Waveney district council.
