New medical jobs may be created in Edmonton

A number of new medical jobs may become available in the London area of Edmonton later this year.
The Evergreen Primary Care Centre is to open in July and will provide a number of services, including minor surgery and enhanced diabetes services, This is Local London reports.
Set to open between 08:00 GMT and 20:00 GMT, the centre will be available to all local residents, whether or not they are registered with GPs elsewhere.
Commenting on the development, Monty Meth, chairman of Enfield's Over 50s Forum, said: "This is a really positive step forward, particularly as we believe it will lead to Edmonton getting much better health care facilities."
It will mean that people who require access to primary medical care will be able to receive it whether they are registered at a health centre or not, he added.
Recently, the Crewe Chronicle reported that plans for a new medical facility which will include a pharmacy have been finalised by Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust.
