Refer an Podiatrist

A podiatrist has said that women are more likely to develop bunions than their male counterparts.
According to Christine Rogers, female hormones can soften the tissue in the foot, which increases people's likelihood of suffering from the affliction, the Daily Mail reports.
A bunion is a bony swelling at the base of big toe and its medical name in hallux valgus.
If they get worse over time, they can lead to other problems, such as arthritis of the big toe.
Ms Rogers said that the idea that bunions are solely the result of wearing big heels or ill-fitting shoes is not true.
She added: "This can exacerbate the problem, but most sufferers are genetically predisposed towards having particularly soft tissue - their muscles, ligaments and tendons are more lax than they should be."
Treatments for the medical condition usually include an operation performed under local anaesthetic in which the surgeon breaks and realigns one or more bones in the foot.
