New radiography facilities to be created

New radiography facilities are to be created in Gloucestershire after plans for revamped health and social services were given the go-ahead by a hospital trust.
A modern campus is to be created in the Dursley area to replace the existing hospital in Berkeley and the Sandpits Clinic.
Although no location for the development has been agreed upon, NHS Gloucestershire has given the proposals its backing.
The facility will feature a range of things, including outpatient clinics, a minor injuries and illness unit and diagnostic services such as radiography.
Chief executive of NHS Gloucestershire Jan Stubbings commented: "This is an exciting project which aims to provide care and treatment in the best possible environment for the patient and in the right way to meet their individual needs."
Previously known as the Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust, NHS Gloucestershire provides services to a population of around 602,000 and employs in the region of 2,250 staff members.
