New medical centre to open in Staffordshire

A new medical centre is to open its doors to patients in south Staffordshire.
The Burntwood Health and Wellbeing Centre will treat its first patients on March 31st, 24dash reports.
It is to open seven days a week, 365 days a year and will provide local people with opportunities to book appointments as well as use a walk-in service.
A range of medical experts are to work at the facility, providing treatments for a range of patients, including those with diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.
"I welcome the opening of this new centre which will provide Burntwood residents with increased access to GPs and provide a focus on health and wellbeing in the area," stated Stuart Poynor, chief executive of South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust.
He added that the facility is part of the trust's strategy to improve and develop additional permanent premises.
Meanwhile, a polyclinic offering podiatry and pharmacy services, among other things, recently opened in a Sainsbury's supermarket in Manchester.
