Patients invited to view new audiology unit

Patients have been invited to attend an open day at the new Todmorden Health Centre.
Among the facilities that people will be able to explore on March 13th is a completely soundproofed audiology unit.
In addition, they will be able to see the £250,000 X-ray department and an £80,000 ultrasound room.
The new facility is part of an outreach project undertaken by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, which provides healthcare services for a population of over 435,000.
Due to run from 10:00 GMT until 15:00 GMT, the open day is intended as a means of showing people how the money for the centre has been spent.
Commenting on the facility, clinical lead for the project Martin de Bono said: "This is an outpatient hospital - people will notice that whereas in the past for a lot of services they would have to go to Halifax, now they are provided here as a 'one-stop' too, from GP to specialist," the Hebdenbridge Today reports.
