Speech and language therapists receive awards

Two speech and language therapists have received awards for their professional achievements.
Liz Spooner and Jacqui Woodcock, who are both employed by Worcestershire Primary Care Trust (PCT), picked up accolades in the innovation category during a recent ceremony.
Hosted by BBC Hereford and Worcester's Breakfast Show presenter Howard Bentham, the event was attended by more than 200 people.
The evening firstly recognised long serving members of staff and then moved on to reward staff for their achievements.
Commenting on the initiative, chairman of Worcestershire PCT Bryan Smith said: "The long service and staff achievement awards is a chance for us to show our appreciation to our dedicated, conscientious and loyal staff who ensure that the people of Worcestershire have access to the best possible healthcare."
With a budget of more than £750 million, Worcestershire PCT employs around 2,500 members of staff and serves a population of approximately 533,000.
