Radiographers 'to benefit from installation of new X-ray system'

People with radiography jobs at a UK medical centre are to benefit from the installation of new equipment, it has been claimed.
According to the makers of the device Siemens Healthcare, the system will reduce the strain on radiographers and patients will experience greater comfort.
The Ysio wi-D - an X-ray machine with a wireless detector - has been set up in Hythe Hospital, which is based on Beaulieu Road in Hythe.
It enables medics to conduct tests with minimal patient handling and it replaces a 15-year-old X-ray system.
Commenting on the equipment, Sandra Thomas, senior radiographer at Hythe Hospital, said: "Procedure time has been significantly reduced and patients no longer complain about discomfort during procedures - they're actually asking why it was so quick."
She added that it is "a joy to use" and the images are of excellent quality.
The X-ray room in the hospital images more than 30 people a day.
