Medical jobs 'could be created in Wales'

As many as 350 medical jobs could be created in Wales, it has emerged.
According to reports in the North Wales Weekly News, the owners of the North Wales Business Park, on the outskirts of Abergele, have confirmed that they have submitted a pre-planning application for the five-acre centre.
The facility would focus on both the research and treatment of dementia and related disorders.
Currently, Conwy county council is looking over the proposals.
Commenting on the idea, Assembly member for Clwyd West Darren Millar said: "I'm delighted that this proposal could bring some new provisions to much needed specialist healthcare services in the Abergele area.
"This will bring a much needed boost to jobs, especially after so many have been lost in both Conwy and Denbighshire over the last few months."
Recently, it was revealed that a nanohealth centre employing a range of experts, including biomedical scientists, is to be built at Swansea University.
