Speech and language therapist to be recruited thanks to investment

A speech and language therapist is to be recruited by a firm in the north-east city of Newcastle thanks to new investments.
The position, which is for Reliance Care, has come about as a result on a funding package recently announced by regional development agency One NorthEast, the Sunderland Echo reports.
In total, up to 3,000 new jobs could be created among businesses across the region.
The agency - which was established in 1999 to help people in the region create and sustain jobs - last year invested £18.9 million to help companies in the area grow.
Ian Williams, One NorthEast's director of business and industry, said: "In the current economic climate, I'm delighted to see so many developing businesses benefiting from grant investment."
He added that the region's "diverse economic base" makes it better placed to cope with the economic downturn than it would have been in the past.
