Investments made in speech and language services

Investments have been made to improve speech and language therapy services in Norfolk.
NHS Norfolk - which was formerly known as the Norfolk Primary Care Trust - is providing additional funding of £359,000 in order to recruit extra staff, the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press reports.
The move is intended to reduce staff workloads and patient waiting times.
According to the publication, 229 children are on the waiting list, which is a reduction from the 470 recorded last May.
It adds that waiting times have fallen from more than ten weeks for over half of patients to four to six weeks for the majority of people.
The health trust - which provides a range of services, including district nursing, palliative care, health visiting and children's health services - aims to ensure that by April, no one will wait for more than ten weeks before being seen by a speech and language therapist.
