Register as an Dietitian
Wednesday 14th January 2009
A professional dietician is to be among a group of medical professionals involved in a scheme designed for cancer patients.
People suffering from the disease who live in Norfolk and Waveney will have the chance to attend free sessions at the Big C Centre - a charity which has raised more than £13 million since its foundation in 1980 - the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press reports.
The sessions, of which there will be six, will commence with healthy eating advice from the dietician.
There will also be input from a nurse, pharmacist, occupational therapist and physiotherapist.
Big C Centre manager Jill Chapman said: "This six-week pilot programme has been developed from requests from patients. We have been working on this for some time and intend it to be very relevant to the needs of patients and their carers."
The first event will take place on February 2nd and a second set of pilot sessions will begin on March 16th.
